Convenient Food Choices near Raffles Place and CoWorkSpace

Convenient Food Choices near Raffles Place and CoWorkSpace

I remember the first day that I came for work at CoWorkSpace.

There were many dining options, but I relied on my colleagues to find a meal that was to my liking and budget.

Lunch Crowds: 12 pm - 1:30 pm
Best Time for Lunch: 11:00 - 11:30 am, or past 1:30 pm for a quieter experience.

One thing I’ve learned about dining in the CBD is how challenging it can be to avoid long wait times and high prices.

That’s why I stick to these spots near CoWorkSpace and Raffles Place. While other places like Amoy Street Food Centre or Market Street Hawker Centre have great food, they’re about 10-15 minutes away, which isn’t ideal for a quick lunch break.

1. Lao Pa Sat

Lao Pa Sat is one of my go-to places, just a short walk from Raffles Place and CoWorkSpace. It’s iconic for a reason—the variety of local food here is amazing.

Address: 18 Raffles Quay, Singapore 048582

I often head to the mixed vegetable rice store. For just $5-6 (and sometimes less if I use the FairPrice app), I get two vegetables and two meats. It’s affordable, filling, and perfect for a busy day.

  • 2 meat, 1 veg: $4.90

  • 3 meat, 1 veg: $6.50

  • 2 meat, 2 veg: $6.00

  • 3 meat: $5.40

2. The Basement at Hong Leong

For a quieter dining spot, I like The Basement at Hong Leong. It’s close to Raffles Place and offers a great variety of food outlets.

Address: 16 Raffles Quay, Hong Leong Building, Singapore 048581

One of my favorites here is Soup Cup. Their fish soup with minced meat is comforting, flavorful, and just the right choice for when I want something light yet satisfying.

3. Republic Plaza (via Raffles MRT)

Republic Plaza is another reliable option I often visit, thanks to its location near Raffles MRT. The variety of food here feels like what you’d find in a shopping mall—plenty of choices and something for everyone.

Address: 9 Raffles Place, Singapore 048619

I particularly like Stuff’d for their wraps and bowls, and there are always bubble tea outlets nearby if I’m in the mood for a treat. It’s a convenient place to grab a quick meal.

Bonus: Low-Carb Options at Funwan

When I’m in the mood for a low-carb meal, I head to Funwan. They specialize in cauliflower rice dishes with an Asian twist, which are both healthy and delicious.

Address: 137 Telok Ayer Street, Singapore 068602

It’s just a 4-minute walk from Lao Pa Sat, making it super convenient. I love how their dishes don’t compromise on flavor, even while being keto-friendly.
